This Privacy Policy explains what information Lytesnap collects when you use the Lytesnap mobile app and its Unaddict feature (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
The Service is operated by Lytesnap, Inc., a company based in the USA ("Lytesnap", "we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or your information, email us at info@lytesnap.com.
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account | To sign you in, send your sign-up and account-deletion codes, and contact you about your account |
| Password for Lytesnap | If you sign up with email | To sign you in. We store only a one-way hash, never the password itself |
| Name | Optional, at sign-up | To address you in the app |
| Sign in with Apple details | If you choose Sign in with Apple | Apple gives us an account identifier and, the first time, your name and email (which may be a private relay address Apple creates). We use them to sign you in |
| Your feed preferences | During setup and in settings | The topics you want more of, the topics you want less of, and any keywords you add. Unaddict uses these to decide what to search for and watch |
| Your home country | During setup | So your sessions connect to the internet from your own country, matching how you normally use these apps |
| Connected-account sign-in details | When you connect Instagram, YouTube or TikTok | Your username, email or phone number for that app, and its password. The password is used only to sign you in, then deleted. See section 2 |
| Verification codes | When an app asks for two-step verification | You type the code into Lytesnap and we pass it on to finish signing in. We use it once and do not keep it |
| Messages to support | If you contact us | To help you |
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Time zone reported by your phone | Scheduled sessions run overnight in your local time (roughly 1–5 a.m.), while you are unlikely to be using the same apps |
| Push notification token | Only if you turn on session alerts. It lets us send notifications to your phone. Turning alerts off removes it |
| Session records | For each Unaddict session: which app, when it ran, the topic, whether it finished, and a summary of how your feed's mix of topics changed. These records are how we show you progress and count your credits |
| Credit balance and history | To show how many credits you have, and to give back credits for sessions that did not finish |
| Technical logs | Our servers record requests to the Service, including IP address, time and errors. We use them to keep the Service secure and working |
We do not use analytics or advertising tools in the app. We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos.
While a session runs, the virtual phone shows your connected app just as your own phone would. This means Unaddict can see whatever that app shows: your home feed, search results, and the posts and videos recommended to you. To do its job, Unaddict:
Unaddict does not open your direct messages, and it does not download or keep copies of other people's posts or videos. It keeps the topic summaries described above, not the screenshots themselves.
Connecting an account is optional, but Unaddict cannot change a feed without it. Before you enter a password, the app explains what Unaddict will do with the account and asks you to agree. When you connect an app:
Lytesnap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, TikTok or ByteDance.
We use your information to:
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use your connected-account content to build profiles for anyone else.
Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland). We process your information because it is needed to provide the Service you asked for (contract). We also rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and improving it, and on your consent for push notifications and for connecting third-party accounts. You can withdraw consent at any time by turning off alerts or disconnecting an app.
To understand what is on the virtual phone's screen, we send screenshots and on-screen text from your sessions to Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), the provider of the Claude AI model. The model:
These screenshots can include anything visible in the connected app at that moment. We never send your passwords to Anthropic. Anthropic processes this data to return results to us, under terms that do not allow it to use our data to train its models. It may keep the data for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring. You can review Anthropic's privacy practices at anthropic.com/privacy.
The AI does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only with:
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Account details, preferences, session records, credit history | While your account exists |
| Connected-account password | Only while sign-in is in progress, then deleted |
| Connected-account sign-in data | Until you disconnect that app or delete your Lytesnap account. Then deleted straight away |
| Sign-up and account-deletion codes | 10 minutes, then deleted automatically |
| Push notification token | Until you turn alerts off, sign out, or delete your account |
| Screenshots sent to our AI provider | We do not store them. The provider may keep them for a limited time, as described in section 4 |
| Technical logs | Up to 30 days |
| Backups | Deleted data is removed from backups within 30 days |
When you delete your Lytesnap account, we delete your personal information straight away, and it leaves our backups within 30 days.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
In the app you can: change your feed preferences; connect or disconnect Instagram, YouTube and TikTok; turn session alerts on or off; and delete your Lytesnap account via Profile → Delete Lytesnap account.
You can also ask us at info@lytesnap.com to give you a copy of your personal information, correct information that is wrong, delete your information, restrict or object to some uses of it, or receive your information in a portable format.
We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Do Not Track. We do not track you across other companies' websites or apps, so the Service works the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.
Deleting your Lytesnap account permanently removes your profile, preferences, connections and their sign-in data, session records, credits and push tokens. It cannot be undone. This only deletes your Lytesnap account — your Instagram, YouTube and TikTok accounts are not affected.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we protect international transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact info@lytesnap.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
